About me
I’m Dr Victoria Horwood, a Clinical Psychologist based in Nottingham. I work with adults and young people experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, with particular interests in trauma, PTSD, attachment, emotional regulation and neurodivergence.
My aim is to offer therapy that feels warm, collaborative and individually tailored. I draw on evidence-based psychological approaches to help people understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck, process difficult experiences and make meaningful, lasting changes.
I have worked across NHS and private mental health services since 2008, including adult mental health, CAMHS, looked-after children’s services, forensic settings and early intervention for psychosis.
I completed an MSc in Psychological Therapies at the University of Nottingham and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Leicester.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and am a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I hold professional liability insurance and an enhanced DBS check.
